Allendale Fabric Starch 200g AAAA

Pure & non toxic. A new fine fabric starch from Allendale, traditional starching gives your fabrics a fresh, crisp finish and improves the look and quality of fabrics. Allendale starch can be mixed to make a natural spray starch and is great for craft, paints and modelling clay. Always patch test fabric for suitability before proceeding. To mix powder; Mix powder in small amount of cold water to form a paste. Add boiling water while stirring continuously until colour becomes opaque. Add cold water to the desired level of starching. To starch fabric: After washing, spin or wring fabric, dip fabric into starch mixture. For heavier starching, dip fabric into mixture a few times, wring or spin fabric and then dry as usual. Ironing: Check laundering instructions on garment before ironing for correct heat setting. Very wet fabrics may stick to the iron, lightly starched fabrics may be ironed without dampening first, dampen fabric by sprinkling water and roll up on tightly. Sit for 30 minutes before ironing. A high gloss on the fabric can be achieved by using a hard backing board. To remove gloss, wipe a damp cloth over the fabric after ironing.
