Bronte Tongues In Jelly 110g Net AAAA
“BRONTE” was registered in 1911 for use in a packing frozen meats, and became well known in 1930 as the registered trademark of a line of canned lamb tongues, ox tongues and other meat products. It also became the name of the company formed in 1963 to take over and expand the canning activities of an established company which was then relinquishing its meat processing business.
From premises located at the State Abattoirs in Homebush, New South Wales, and licensed by the Australian Government Department of Primary Industry, this small but vigorous company had packed a
range of quality meat products for the export and domestic markets under its several registered brand names.
Since 1992, when the Homebush State Abattoirs were closed to make way for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the canned products have been manufactured for the company under licence.
Household brand name products include:
“BRONTE” Tongues in Jelly
“COLONIAL” Corned Mutton
The company exports to many overseas destinations in South East Asia, North America and the Pacific Islands, as well as maintaining a strong domestic profile.
