BASCO's Golden Butter Cake is a light and moist gluten free cake that is perfect for morning and afternoon teas.
INGREDIENTS:
Sugar, Maize Flour, Vegetable Oil, Glucose Syrup Solids (From Maize), Emulsifiers (471, 477, Soy Lecithin), Milk Protein, Mineral Salt (339), Maize Starch (Contain Traces of Sulphites), Raising Agents (450, Sodium Bicarbonate), Salt, Natural Flavours (Contains Milk), Vegetable Gums (Guar, Xanthan), Natural Colour (Annatto).
Made on equipment that also processes Egg, Milk, Peanuts and Tree Nuts.
PREPARING THE CAKE:
You will need:
1 BASCO Golden Butter Cake Mix (470g)
2 Eggs (at room temperature)
3 Tbsps (60g) Polyunsaturated Margarine Spread or Butter
? Cup (165mL) Water
One 20cm x 7cm (8" x 2 ¾") Deep Round Cake Pan
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC /350ºF (160ºC fan forced). Grease and flour round cake pan with gluten free flour, or lightly grease non-stick cake pan.
2. Place cake mix, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons soft margarine and ? cup water in a small mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed until ingredients are moistened. Mix on medium speed for 3 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl occasionally. Pour batter into prepared round cake pan.
3. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Cake is baked if it springs back when lightly touched in the centre. Remove cake from the oven and allow to stand in pan for 5 minutes prior to inverting. Invert cake onto a cake cooler. Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
PREPARING THE FROSTING:
You will need:
2 Tbsps (40g) Polyunsaturated Margarine Spread or Butter
1 Tbsps (20mL) Milk
1. Empty contents of frosting sachet into a small mixing bowl with 2 tablespoons soft margarine and 1 tablespoon milk.
2. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed until ingredients are moistened. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.
3. Scrape down sides of bowl occasionally. Spread frosting over top of cool cake.
When prepared according to standard pack directions using polyunsaturated vegetable oil and whole milk.

This product was developed under the guidance of our dietician and expert in coeliac disease and food intolerance. Each batch is tested for gluten free compliance to 5ppm prior to release into the market. It is suitable for fructose intolerance diets and has a superior flavour and texture. The similarities to standard wheat based products is amazing. Freshness will last for days, and stay moist; unlike many other gluten free products.
It has no artificial flavours, colours and no preservatives and is manufactured in a nut free environment

White Wings Heavenly White Chocolate Mud Cake Mix 720g AAA
Heavenly White Chocolate Mud Cake

All you'll need is:
Cake
1 egg
170mL (2/3 cup) water
80mL (1/3 cup) oil
Icing
20mL (1 Tbsp) milk
60g (3 Tbsp) margarine spread or butter
Instructions:
Preheat: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) or 160°C for fan-forced. Grease a 6cm deep x 20cm round cake pan. Line the base with baking paper. Place unopened clear sachet of white chocolate buttons into a heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water. Stand for 3 minutes, turning the sachet each minute to melt evenly (see below for microwave instructions).
Mix: Empty the cake mix sachet into a mixing bowl. Add egg, oil, and water. Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture is combined (mixture may appear lumpy).
Add chocolate: Remove white chocolate button sachet from water and pat dry. Knead chocolate with fingertips until smooth. Cut corner of sachet and squeeze melted chocolate into the cake mixture. Mix with a wooden spoon for 30 seconds (mixture may still appear lumpy).
Bake: Spread mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. To ensure a moist cake, do not over-bake. Stand 10 minutes in pan before turning onto a wire rack to cool.
Ice: Place milk and margarine spread or butter into a small saucepan and heat gently until just melted. Remove from heat and stir in contents of paper sachet of white chocolate buttons until melted and smooth. If required, return to low heat and stir to melt any remaining chocolate. Be careful not to overheat or burn the mixture (see below for microwave instructions). Pour icing over cake allowing icing to drizzle down the sides.
For a muddier cake texture, refrigerate overnight before serving.
Tips:
MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MELTING CHOCOLATE:
Place contents of clear sachet of white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl with a tablespoon of the oil from step 2. Microwave on medium (50%) power for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 20-30 seconds until melted and smooth. Add to batter in step 3.
MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ICING:
Place milk and margarine spread or butter into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on medium (50%) power for 30-45 seconds until melted. Add contents of paper sachet of white chocolate buttons and stir until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. If required, microwave mixture for a further 10 seconds on medium and stir to melt any remaining chocolate.
